Is the entry for Cinnamon referring to cassia or ceylon??
This entry "http://oracvalues.com/spices-cinnamon-ground" doesn't indicate whether it is referring to common store bought cinnamon (cassia) or true cinnamon (ceylon) and I was just curious about it. This link provides more info on the differences - http://www.slashfood.com/2008/11/25/cin ... or-cassia/
Thanks!! |

Re: Is the entry for Cinnamon referring to cassia or ceylon??
My guess is that they are referring to cassia. Many of the items in the USDA 2007 study were commonly available store-bought products.
