Lingonberries have one of the highest ORAC values of any food on the planet. This was provided by the University of Alaska Faribanks. This score if for the Raw berry. Be careful when comparing other berries to make sure they are in the raw form. Sometimes raw berries are compared to powders which is not an apples to apples comparison. Powder or drying concentrates it. Lingonberries are higher in ORAC then acai berries. You can find some good information online and also order dried or frozen lingonberries from Northwest Wild Foods. There website is http://www.nwwildfoods.com. The University of Alaska also has some good information as well. |
